RS poll results not to impact ruling alliance, fight to continue against BJP: J'khand Cong

Business To Business, Ranchi, 20th June, 2026:  Leaders of the Indian National Congress in Jharkhand on Saturday asserted that the outcome of the recent Rajya Sabha election would not weaken the ruling INDIA Alliance in the state.
The Congress leaders said that the alliance partners remain united and would continue what they described as their fight against alleged attempts by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to gain power in the state.
Reacting to the election result, party leaders stated that the developments surrounding the Rajya Sabha poll would be reviewed and discussed among the constituent parties of the alliance. They also alleged that their candidate's defeat was the result of "horse trading," a term often used in Indian politics to refer to alleged inducements or efforts to influence legislators' votes.
The BJP has not accepted such allegations and has maintained that its electoral successes are the result of political support and organizational strength.
The Rajya Sabha election outcome has triggered political debate in Jharkhand, but Congress leaders insisted that it would not affect the stability or cohesion of the ruling alliance in the state.
