SC to hear on May 22 ED's plea alleging obstruction by Mamata Banerjee, others during I-PAC raid

Business To Business, New Delhi, 13th May 2026: The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday said it would hear on May 22 a plea filed by the Enforcement Directorate alleging obstruction by then West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and other state authorities during the agency’s January 8 search operation at the office of political consultancy firm Indian Political Action Committee in Kolkata.
The matter was heard by a bench comprising Justices Prashant Kumar Mishra and N V Anjaria.
During the proceedings, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta requested the bench to schedule the matter for hearing next week, following which the court fixed May 22 as the next date of hearing.
