Business To Business, Lucknow, 04th July, 2026: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress of engaging in "negative politics" due to a lack of substantive public issues, asserting that the BJP remains focused on the development of Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing a meeting of the BJP's Uttar Pradesh office-bearers and district presidents during his two-day visit to the party's state headquarters in Lucknow, Nabin said the opposition was attempting to divert public attention instead of engaging in discussions on development.
"The SP and the Congress have no issues. They are indulging in negative politics to distract the people. We should not fall into the opposition's trap. Our focus must remain on working for Uttar Pradesh's development," he said.
The meeting was held as part of the BJP's preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, with party leaders discussing organisational strategy and outreach initiatives.
