Business To Business, New Delhi, 26th July, 2026: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said the nationwide students' agitation against alleged examination paper leaks has sent a strong message to the BJP-RSS, asserting that the government cannot function as its "personal fiefdom" and warning that similar actions would trigger even larger protests in the future.
Reacting to the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan amid the NEET paper leak controversy, Gandhi described Pradhan as a "symbol of corruption" and said, "It is good that he is gone."
Addressing the issue, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha said the students' movement represented a broader struggle over the country's future.
He described the agitation as a fight between "the past," represented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS, and "the future of India," represented by the country's youth.
Gandhi further asserted that the protests had demonstrated the power of students to hold the government accountable, adding that if the BJP-RSS continued to govern in the same manner, it would face protests on an even larger scale.
