Tamil Nadu CM calls on President Murmu, V-P Radhakrishnan

Business To Business, New Delhi, 10th June, 2026:   C. Joseph Vijay called on Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The meeting was confirmed by the President's office through a post on X, which shared a photograph of the interaction and stated:
"Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri C Joseph Vijay called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan."
Part of New Delhi Visit
The meeting took place during Vijay's three-day visit to the national capital. During the visit, he has also met senior political leaders, including:

  • Sonia Gandhi
  • Rahul Gandhi
He is also expected to participate in the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting.
Courtesy meetings between state chief ministers and the President are a regular feature of India's constitutional and political framework. Such interactions often symbolize cooperation between constitutional authorities and provide an opportunity for discussion on matters concerning the state and national development.
This is among Vijay's early high-level engagements in New Delhi since assuming office as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in May. While no details of the discussions were officially disclosed, the meeting underscores the importance of Centre-state engagement as the new Tamil Nadu government begins its tenure.
