Business To Business, Thiruvananthapuram, 4th May 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party has made a notable breakthrough in Kerala, winning three constituencies—Nemom, Kazhakoottam, and Chathannoor—in the April 9 Assembly elections.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar confirmed that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance secured victories in Nemom and Chathannoor, describing the results as a direct response to claims by the Indian National Congress and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) that the BJP would fail to win any seats in the state.
He stated that the electorate in Nemom and Chathannoor had delivered a “clear reply” to such assertions, and indicated that the BJP-NDA would have representation in the state assembly through these wins.
These results are significant because Kerala has traditionally been dominated by the Congress-led UDF and the CPI(M)-led LDF, making BJP’s gains in the state politically noteworthy.
