TN polls: CM Stalin trailing in Kolathur

Business To Business, Chennai, 4th May 2026:  M. K. Stalin was trailing in the Kolathur seat as counting progressed for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
According to the Election Commission of India, V. S. Babu of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam was leading with 82,997 votes after 22 rounds of counting, while Stalin had secured 74,202 votes.
The elections in Tamil Nadu were held on April 23, and counting trends were still evolving at the time, leaving the final outcome open.
