Business To Business, Kolkata, 8th May, 2026: Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday said West Bengal would get a “stable and good government” as the Bharatiya Janata Party is set to form its first government in the state.
The BJP registered a landslide victory in the recently concluded West Bengal Assembly elections, winning 207 seats in the 294-member House and ending the 15-year rule of the All India Trinamool Congress led by Mamata Banerjee.
Majhi, who has been appointed as the BJP’s co-observer for West Bengal, said the election outcome was a significant opportunity for him to work under Amit Shah in the new responsibility.
“The Bengal elections result came in favour of the BJP. It is a great opportunity to work under Union Home Minister Amit Shah as a co-observer,” he said.
