Business To Business, Kolkata, 02 January, 2026: In the context of escalating political tensions in the election-bound West Bengal, the Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, stated on Friday that if the BJP is elected in the forthcoming elections, the Narendra Modi government at the Centre will increase the guaranteed rural employment scheme from 100 days to 200 days.
Speaking at a public gathering in Chanchal, located in the Malda district, Adhikari encouraged the audience to safeguard their job cards, asserting that the BJP intends to broaden the rural employment guarantee scheme beyond its existing parameters.
"Ensure that your job cards are kept in good condition. Once you vote the BJP into power, we will extend the 100 days of rural job guarantee to 200 days," Adhikari remarked.
