Business To Business, New Delhi, 5th May, 2026: Political activist Yogendra Yadav on Tuesday described the recent election outcomes in West Bengal and Assam—where the Bharatiya Janata Party secured sweeping majorities—not merely as contests for political power but as part of a broader “civilisational battle” unfolding in the country.
Speaking at the launch of the Hindi book Jaati aur Sampradayikta ke Vishanu by Rafraf Shakil Ansari and Javed Anwar, Yadav said that politics today carries a responsibility far beyond winning seats or elevating individuals.
He also criticised the manner in which election results are often presented, likening it to a “T20 cricket score,” suggesting that such framing oversimplifies deeper social and political dynamics.
