India wins fifth boxing gold in Glasgow CWG; Lovlina, Jadumani clinch silver

Business To Business, Glasgow, 02 August, 2026:   India finished the 2026 Commonwealth Games boxing competition with a historic haul, winning seven gold medals and three silver medals—their best-ever boxing performance at the Commonwealth Games. The seven golds also made India the first nation to top the boxing medal table with that tally.
Among Saturday's results:

  • Lovlina Borgohain won silver after losing 1-4 to Australia's Emma-Sue Greentree in the women's 75kg final.
  • Gold medals were won by:
    • Jaismine Lamboria
    • Preeti Pawar
    • Sakshi Chaudhary
    • Arundhati Choudhary
    • Priya Ghanghas
  • Jadumani Singh also claimed a silver medal.
Despite Lovlina's narrow defeat in the final, India's boxing contingent capped off a landmark campaign, underlining the country's growing strength in both the men's and women's events.
