NZ ODIs: Siraj, Pant's ODI future in focus

Business To Business, New Delhi, 02 January, 2026: The tireless partnership of Rishabh Pant and Mohammed Siraj is anticipated to be a significant topic of discussion on Saturday when the selectors convene to finalize a 15-member Indian ODI squad for a three-match series against New Zealand, commencing on January 11 in Vadodara.

Although no substantial changes are expected in the lineup that triumphed over South Africa in a recent series a few weeks prior, two particular issues may be addressed by the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar.

The first concern pertains to Pant's role as the second wicketkeeper, given that Ishan Kishan has demonstrated his batting capabilities in the middle order for Jharkhand, while Dhruv Chand Jurel has also achieved a 'Daddy Hundred' for UP in the domestic arena.
